Firefighters freed a worker trapped waist-deep in coal on a freight train car in Bridgewater Tuesday.
The man was reported trapped around 9 a.m. Bridgewater firefighters responded and then called multi-jurisdictional Plymouth County Technical Rescue Team to the scene, WBZ reports.
Teams used vacuum equipment to remove coal from around the trapped worker. After nearly four hours, he was lifted from the rail car by a Bridgewater aerial and transported to the hospital.
The worker remained conscious throughout the rescue and is expected to be OK.
