The U.S. Department of Defense has purchased 350 ONESuit protective hazmat suits for use at key military sites as part of its Installation Protection Program.

Strategic Response Initiatives, an anti-terrorism and criminal justice consultancy, included ONESuit, which is made by Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics, in a diverse portfolio of anti-terrorism materials it provides for the program. Strategic Response offers assistance to governments and corporations in planning for scenarios involving weapons of mass destruction.

The mission of the Installation Protection Program is to provide an integrated collection of systems at selected Department of Defense installations that serve as a foundation for anti-terrorism defenses against chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear threats.

ONESuit product offerings meet National Fire Protection Association requirements with a lightweight, single-skin design, allowing for maneuverability and maximum user comfort, according to Saint-Gobain. ONESuit protective gear is flame-resistant and is compactable for space-saving storage.
