Photos: US Fire Pump at Prairie Hill Road (IL) Blaze

Fire photographer Tim Olk recently shared some photos of US Fire Pump in Rockton (IL) from the recent fire on Prairie Hill Road.

The firefighters had just finished a 12-hour shift fighting the Airport fire, which has charred thousands of acres of wildland.

The federal government awarded the city a $7 million grant, which comes on top of $7 million from a voter-approved levy.

The funding will enhance emergency response capabilities and ensure better protection for the public and the firefighters.

Fire Station 9 will help meet the needs of the rapidly expanding community, with hundreds of new homes and businesses developed in the area.
