Pineville (LA) FD Adds New 1,000-Gallon Pierce Pumper

The Pineville Fire Department announced recently that it has added a Pierce pumper, the department said in a Facebook post.

“The new E40 has found her way home and will go into service within the next week,” the post said.

E40 is a 2024 Pierce Enforcer pumper that carries 1,000 gallons of water and will replace a 22-year-old apparatus that has fulfilled its duty to the citizens of Pineville, the post said. The new pumper will go into service at Station 4 on 28 East.

A fire official said they decided to go with a 1,000-gallon tank instead of their usual 500-gallon tank because Station 4 services more of a rural setting where water is not always abundant.
