The Pageland Fire Department announced recently that the department now owns a 2002 KME mid-mount 95-foot aerial platform, pmg-sc.com reported.

The $229,000 purchase is primarily supported through impact fees from new developments around Pageland, the report said.

Tower 1 is equipped with a 2,500 gallon-per-minute pump, one of the highest capacity pumps in the state, according to the report. The department will be buying fire hoses, hand tools, technical rescue gear, and more to make the truck response-ready.

It is anticipated that the truck will be in service by Feb. 1, 2025.
