Senatobia (MS) Fire Dept. Plans to Purchase New Aerial

Senatobia (MS) aldermen have approved a new tax levy to help pay for a new aerial for the fire department, according to a report published by the Tate Record.

A 1 mill increase in the ad valorem tax millage will pay for the new aerial, according to the newspaper.

The city’s fire chief told the aldermen that it was time to replace the 1989 aerial and the fire department has already started working with E-ONE for a new 95-foot platform aerial and the design process will begin in October, according to the paper, that added in about six to eight months, department representatives will go to the factory and check out the work progress to make sure it’s being built to requested specifications.
