The Bakersfield Fire Department is pleased to announce the arrival of five new apparatus to enhance our firefighting capabilities, the department said in a Facebook post Friday, Sept. 13. These include three state-of-the-art pumpers, one light air and support, and one Battalion Chief’s SUV.

These new additions to our fleet will significantly improve the operational effectiveness of the Bakersfield Fire Department by replacing aging equipment. The upgraded apparatus will enable us to respond more efficiently and effectively to emergency situations, ensuring the safety of the community.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Bakersfield City Council and Bakersfield City Management for their unwavering support and dedication to public safety. Their commitment has made it possible for us to acquire these much-needed resources.

The Bakersfield Fire Department is committed to providing top-notch services and protecting the lives and property of our citizens. We are confident that these new additions to our fleet will enable us to continue fulfilling this mission.
