Kimtek Corporation shipped its 1,000th skid unit to Calex Ambulance Service in St. Johnsbury, Vt., the first agency to purchase a Kimtek MEDLITE unit.
The commemorative 1,000th skid unit will be in service with Calex, and the first MEDLITE will be returned to Kimtek to be refurbished and displayed at the company’s headquarters.
Kimtek said it is the largest producer and marketer of skid units for all terrain vehicles (ATV) and utility terrain vehicles (UTV) for public safety agencies in the United States. Kimtek’s FIRELITE fire/rescue skid units and MEDLITE medical skid units are in service in 49 states, four provinces in Canada, in all branches of the military and in the National Park Service. In addition, the company said its units are used at numerous NASCAR tracks and sporting complexes.
