Braun Industries has launched a new ambulance, the Freedom, built on a Spartan Metro Star chassis.
“The Freedom is a model that meets the demands of the fire based EMS community,” said Braun Executive Sales Manager Chad Brown. “After our introduction of the Braun Super Chief on the Spartan Furion, we have received numerous calls from customers about developing a product that has a larger module, can carry more firefighting equipment and offer a built to suit application.”
He said the Freedom offers superior outside storage space, both on the cab and the module body and maintains Braun’s Solid Body construction, Ez-Glide sliding door, MasterTech III Multiplex electrical system and Vital Max Lighting.
The Freedom’s design features in the module include rounded corners on the all aluminum interior cabinetry; 45-degree cabinets; five-point crew restraint safety seating; and transverse backboard storage.
The Spartan Metro Star is a purpose-built cab and chassis designed for the emergency-rescue industry. The cab over engine design allows for greater visibility and maneuverability and provides plenty of room. The chassis is available in two-door or four-door applications.
