‘A Christmas Story’ Fire Truck, a 1938 LaFrance, Still in Working Order

The Bargersville Fire Department posted the following on its Facebook page Christmas Day:

The fire truck that arrived to rescue Flick from the flag pole in the 1983 movie classic “A Christmas Story” is owned and operated by the Chippawa Volunteer Fire Fighters’ Association in Niagara Falls, Canada. The fire truck, a 1938 Ford American LaFrance, is still in working order.
