The Gardner (NY) Fire Department recently took delivery of a new Sutphen pumper, replacing a rig purchased in 1989.
The new truck has a 1,500-gpm pump, a 1,000-gallon water tank, and a 25-gallon foam tank.

The new pumper cost near $500,000 but according to department officials, 90 percent of the amount was covered by a FEMA grant, leaving only $49,800 to be covered by the city.
Although the rig was delivered at the end of 2019, department members are mounting equipment and also still need to be trained to operate the new pumper.
