INDUSTRY INNOVATIONS: E-ONE Awarded Three Military Contracts

E-ONE was awarded three Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) contracts for eight trucks on behalf of the United States Air Force and the U.S. Navy.

With a total value of more than $3.8 million, the contracts call for two Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) units, four HP 75 aerials on E-ONE custom chassis and two Titan Force 4×4 Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) vehicles.

“This order speaks volumes to the diversity of the E-ONE product line, the engineering expertise, and the manufacturing capabilities of the organization,” said R.J. Jones, the company’s sales manager for U.S. government and airport products.

Distinctive features on the military trucks include:

  • Meeting a low travel height requirement and electric ladder racks on the 1,500-gallon ARFF 4x4s.
  • HP 75 aerials on E-ONE Typhoon custom chassis, the strongest aerial and custom cab in the industry.
  • EOD vehicles designed for storing vital equipment, such as a robot, on board the 21-foot extruded aluminum walk-in rescue-style body.
The new units will be placed into service at military bases during 2011.
