INDUSTRY INNOVATIONS: Tiburon Public Safety Software Suite Deployed by Luzerne County 911

The Luzerne County 911 Emergency Services Department is deploying Tiburon, Inc.’s integrated public safety software suite to modernize the county’s emergency and fire response operations.

Tiburon’s CommandCAD, MobileCOM and FireRECORDS are expected to facilitate improved communication and interoperability between Luzerne County’s 254 fire, EMS and police agencies through a $1.7 million deal that includes hardware, software and a disaster recovery plan.

Tiburon’s computer-aided dispatch and mobile software solutions will handle approximately 432,000 calls and dispatch approximately 350,000 calls for service per year. MobileCOM integrates with CommandCAD, according to Tiburon, allowing personnel to fully customize the inter-face on their in-vehicle workstations and more quickly access critical information.

The public safety incident management and reporting solutions from Tiburon integrate SQL reporting services to provide Luzerne County personnel with access to real-time data and the ability to view the status of all dispatched units.

Developed as a Web-enabled full service solution, Tiburon’s records processing platform automates all fire and rescue records and reporting operations. The bidirectional interface between CommandCAD and FireRECORDS allows the CAD system to automatically identify relevant premise and hazard information in the fire system and deliver that information to the dispatcher and front line personnel responding to an incident.
