Representatives from the Liberty Township (OH) Fire Department recently welcomed a new addition to its fleet in a push-in ceremony.
The truck replaces a truck damaged in a crash earlier in 2019 and cost $485,000. It will serve as the main fire-rescue unit for Station 35 and is equipped to respond to fire, EMS, and vehicle accident incidents.

The truck was manufactured by Sutphen Corporation and is built on a Sutphen Monarch heavy-duty custom chassis with a 73-inch extended cab and 10-inch raised roof. The four-door cab holds six personnel. The rescue-pumper is powered by a CumminsL9 450-hp and Allison Gen 5 EVS 3000 automatic transmission.
It has a Hale Qmax 1,500-gpm single-state pump, a 1,000-gallon water tank, and a 30-gallon foam tank. The new rig also features an FRC Inview Trueview camera system, Federal Navigator 73-inch LED lightbar, FRC Spectra Brow light, a grille-mounted Federal Q2B siren, and FRC Spectra telescopic lights.
